This Changes Nothing

There’s no doubt in my mind why God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), because there is nothing good that comes from it.  Lives are destroyed, even in the most “civil” circumstances, divorce is death that is never final.  My heart breaks for the children who lie in the tornado-like path of a relationship out of control.  As a child of divorce myself, I understand all too well the real-life effects that result.  In no way do I judge those who have gone down this path, sometimes there is nothing that can be done, and unfortunately sometimes divorce is the lesser of two evils (e.g., where abuse or adultery are present).  I praise God that he is able to take the shards and shrapnel that litter the landscape of little childrens’ lives and make something absolutely beautiful.
