Debit or Credit?
I have never understood why stores ask this question when their system prompts them that the consumer is using a debit card. I know why clerks ask it, because they’re told to, or because their not told to do otherwise. The costs a retailer incurs with a swiped transaction fall into two categories:
Credit is a % of the total - usually in the 1.25 - 3% range.
Debit is a fixed fee - usually...

Is "The Shack" Heresy?
I should start this post by stating that I haven’t finished the book. Actually, I put it down about half way through and haven’t picked it up in a couple of months. BUT, before you jump to any conclusions, my pause was for no other reason than I wasn’t completely captivated by the story - as so many have been. It shouldn’t be said though that I don’t understand its...

Follow me as I Follow Him.
I have two little guys that always follow me around, emulating my every move. Well, actually I have one little guy who does that and a second little guy who does everything the first little guy does.
To be honest, this phenomenon scares the crap out of me. Probably because I know more than anyone the propensity for evil in my own heart. Without the drawn out sob story, lets just say I...

Out of Office: AutoReply
I don’t know about you, but these use to be helpful. However, because boilerplate abounds, I find myself seldom reading these messages passed the obligatory “I will be out of the office…”. What this means for the few who actually take the time to be creative with their messages, sorry - your creativity has generally gone unnoticed by these eyes.
We’re still not perfect, but Jesus is working on us.
